2022 Faerie Festival

In July 2022, after some discontent around the lack of a daily faerie quest event since 2020, TNT announced in the Editorial that they were planning to make up for it by hosting one around the time of the Faerie Festival.

Hello TNT! *hands them an apple pie that was baked this morning* I was wondering: are you planning to do a fairy quest event? last year there was no and this first part of the year there was also no news, and it was one of my favorite annual events, doing a quest every day and hopefully getting to see the fountain fairy. Thanks!
Yes we are planning on having a small Faerie Quest event around the Faerie Festival this year. Although it might be less expansive than Faerie Festivals in the past, we are also working on a short but very exciting story to go along with the Faerie Quest events this year!

On September 1, 2022, in their monthly email newsletter, TNT announced the Faerie Festival would entail the typical theme-day releases, but also that there would be some kind of event afterward:

While the theme-day releases came on time on September 20th, the event was quietly discarded, announced in the Editorial a few weeks later:

Unfortunately, due to issues outside of our control, our development team has been focused on making Neopets safer for each of our users. Once these issues have been resolved to our liking we will move forward with the Haunted Mansion and the holiday events. We still have the Faerie Festival event planned and ready for development and we are very excited for you to see it once we can fit it in! ~~Yarner
