In 2017, the Faerie Festival opened on September 20. It was previewed in the days leading up through some dialogue that appeared when visiting Faerieland and through an invitation in Editorial 797:

While no freebies were given out, you could still earn a NP or exclusive item prize by playing the Wing It! minigame exclusive to the 2017 Faerie Festival. Players who visited the Festival every day also received the Faerie Festival avatar upon visiting on the 26th.

The 2017 Faerie Festival also saw the debut of the Free the Faeries NC event.

On September 27, the Festival was vandalized, the first event in what would become The Wraith Resurgence plot.
