Lutari Talisman Beads Added to Quest Log Weekly Prize Pool

Starting within the last couple hours, several beads for the Lutari Talisman have started showing up as potential Quest Log weekly streak prizes.


A request to re-release Lutari Talisman beads appeared in the Editorial in early March, with an affirmative response from TNT. Lutari Day occurred this past Saturday, and so is likely to be part of today's New Features update; is this a part of the celebrations?

We are also due for a new rotation of Quest Log weekly streak prizes in early May, if TNT continues their recent pattern of swapping out pools every two months. It's not currently known whether these beads will stay in or go at that time. If TNT comments on this, we'll let you know!

It's not clear yet if all beads have been added or just some of them. If you receive one we do not have listed, please let us know or leave a comment below!

Huh? Why ~ 2 weeks before the pool rotation would they randomly start adding new prizes?
Two days after Lutari day, on Easter, a day on which I'd expect TNT to not even be in the office, someone randomly decided to add these?

Very curious to see if they'll be rotated back out during the next rotation or not.

I can never remember which beads I already have since they change shape once you stick them on the talisman, lol.

Red Tongi
Yellow Tongi
Blue Tongi & Matu
Green Tongi, Matu and Ranaka

I tried rerolling for a bit but it was getting too expensive for my liking.
Will try again in 3 days after I get my current prize.

@biediep: Today, Lutari Day will be celebrated in New Features. It's probably related to that.

Oh TNT will be posting news today? I assumed they'd be out of office during Easter.
Very curious, would be so cool if they've updated the Talisman to give the beads new effects but that's probably way too wishful thinking Either way it would be cool to finally finish that ancient thing!

I was a bit shook to re-roll to a bead and was going to tell people, like OMG this isn't listed in the pools anywhere and then all of a sudden to find out it's common knowledge... of course lol

lol @ Talisman still not being visible because Flash tho.

I feel like actually adding Lutari Island content wouldn't be hard. Just throw in a new shop or two and some static pages that serve as other content on the island, ez. But working out the access mechanics with the talisman and beads would be more programmic effort.

I wouldn't be surprised if one of each color is made exclusive for Premium members (looking at the beads players haev gotten so far, going to guess that's the Tongi set).

Still, nice after so long many players will be able to fill out with Talisman, even if its current effects (at least the ones we know about) aren't really that useful nowadays. Like with many parts of ther site, maybe they should update the effects of the Talisman.

I have no idea if I need any of these because for some reason the talisman was flash and they haven't updated it lol. Here's hoping they realize that.

Anyone know if it will stop you if you already have a bead on it and try to add a second of the same?

@inkpot Making an avatar about Lutari Talisman would be like making a stamp avatar. The Tongi beads don't seem to be being dropped. So only old players who had mobile and were able to get Lutari Island to work would get the avatar. Either they allow someone somewhere to get Tongi, or have a relaxed idea about how many beads you need to collect.

@dkeeper Yep, if you already have one of the kind of bead, it won't let you add it. That is to say fourteen years ago when I completed most of mine, that was true. Today? Who knows.

This is so exciting! I was never able to do any of the old mobile stuff, and never got any of the REs when they were around, so a chance to FINALLY get a bead? Possibly multiple? Yay!

So QL doesn't give out Tongi beads?
I'm only missing 3 "non-Tongi" beads and all 4 Tongi,
but if those aren't available then why bother with the others?

Wonder if they have something special planned where we can obtain those.
Though the news sounds pretty clear that we shouldn't expect anything Lutari Island-related.
