Tales of Dacardia Donation Event + New On Site Prize Shop

Today, the Festival of Neggs themed event has begun in Tales of Dacardia. If you didn't already complete it, you'll need to do the short introductory quest to paint the plaza for the festival.

The mechanics of the event are the same as previous donation events in Tales of Dacardia. You donate items for points, which you can then exchange for a variety of in-app prizes and Neopets.com prizes if you are linked to NeoPass. There are also some bonuses for total donation amounts. As with previous events, you can pay real money to double the amount you can donate per day.

This event will run through May 4th, slightly shorter than the themed login calendar.

Additionally, a new feature has been enabled today. The pirate Bruce on the shore, Captain QuickFinger, is now offering a variety of Neopets.com prizes for Pearly Neggs. Many of these are valuable rewards from the on site Festival of Neggs that just ended, including the Overstamped Stamp.

The Bruce's offerings are only available until May 11th. However, the in game announcement of his arrival suggests that in the future, he will be returning with different selections of items to claim.

Note: The update for the Festival of Neggs has also introduced a bug where the app's Photo Mode is largely inoperable. All buttons to change poses and filters are greyed out, which means if you get a daily quest that needs you to use one, you currently cannot complete it. Also, it appears if you take a photo, then any actions in the game after the point will not be saved when you reopen the game. It is advised to not use Photo Mode at all until this is fixed.

Is there a limit to the number of times you can purchase an item from Captain Quickfingers?

Dreww355 - It doesn't show an availability limit, unlike other limited shop items elsewhere in the app, but I haven't tested it. The prices don't look worthwhile at all, though. The cheapest item costs more pearly neggs than neopoints.

From my part, since I don't use pearly neggs I ended up buying the stamp and a quasar background, which didn't drop even though I focused on them -.-

That aside, what exactly do they mean with "There are also some bonuses for total donation amounts"?

Just hoping that I haven't missed anything for just offering a pirate captain hat, which equalled to 200 tickets. I think that's how many exactly Is was worth..

Yeah, I noticed that it didn't indicate a limit, but haven't tested either. Would like to know before I decide whether to purchase or not.

If there is no limit, it's essentially a way for people to purchase NP items. Buy pearls with real money and then use the pearls to purchase the NP item. Although, it would be very expensive, so maybe not a worry.

Does anyone know which components are needed to craft the various recipes?
by neolodgeism on April 21, 2025 2:46 PM NST
@neolodgeism which recipes are you referring to?
by dreww355 on April 21, 2025 2:52 PM NST
@dreww355 - The ones that can be purchased as part of the event. There are 5 or 6 of them.

One of our staffers purchased some stuff and says there is a limit of 1 each.

Guys, regarding the donation drive, If you press the Interrogation mark, they show that you can earn bonus points If you donate event foods. In this case, the neggs you can gather off of gathering spots :O

What I don't get Is why there Is another window with the same Info, but the Items It shows are the eggs you can randomly gather out of rubble, but In It are also Included three omelettes that aren't even event exclusive: Apple Omelette, Berry Omelette and... Earthly Omelette

Heads up. Bug was fixed and made a new bug in the update. Using photo mode removes the treasure trove icon, and makes it where clicking the mixer brings you to the trove. The UI mixer button works still to get to the mixer. If you have a mixer daily and experience the bug, you may need to restart the app for it to register, but data should be saved still

Talking to other players, it may not default to the mixer, but seemingly to the closest place to a central point on the island

Maninshi - "total donation amount" refers to one of the donation drive's reward methods. You can earn a certain number of crabby tickets a day during the event, and there are milestones based on the total you've earned. Those prizes are under "Milestone Prizes" in JN's guide. Note this is entirely separate from the new pearly neggs shop.

what do the neggs in game do? are they just for donating or is there a recipe I'm missing to make use of them
