Snot Splatter

This is one really gross game. The devious Meuka has created a really sticky web of mucus to capture anyone who wanders through Haunted Woods. It's time to get messy, as you help clear the path for pets and prevent them from getting trapped!

How to Play

In Snot Splatter, the goal is to strategically clear all traces of mucus blobs from the board using your mouse. As you advance, the level layouts and blob placements will become more difficult. You can check the level solutions below to view the different level layouts and tips.

When you start the first level, you'll notice there are several different sizes of blobs. Each blob size has a different number of turns (snot) needed to burst, which is referenced in the tables below. When you click on an extra large snot blob (which fills the entire square), it will burst, sending snot splatter in all four directions to hit the closest existing blobs. If the blob next to it is extra large, then it will also pop and cause a chain reaction with the ones surrounding it. However, if you click on a square without a blob in it, an extra small blob will grow there. Creating blobs can be useful for point and combo strategies.

The number inside the tube represents your available turns and the amount of snot you have to use. The max amount of turns you can have is 25 at a time. Every time you click a blob, your turns will decrease by one; for each blob you burst, they will increase by one. Underneath the tube are all the available bonuses you can earn.

The following table shows how many times each type of snot blob must be clicked on before bursting. Clicking on an empty space will create a new snot blob of the smallest size.

Any diagonal tile will allow mucus to bounce off at a 90 degree angle.
A whole tile will eliminate any mucus that splatters it.

Bonuses

There are several bonuses that you can achieve from playing the game. You earn bonuses based on how many blobs you burst in a single chain. You can only use one bonus at a time. When available to use, they will be highlighted.


Box Remover
Remove all blobs in a 3x3 area
You receive this for creating a chain of 5-9 blobs.

Column Remover
Remove all blobs in a single column
You receive this for creating a chain of 10-19 blobs.

Row Remover
Remove all blobs in a single row
You receive this for creating a chain of 10-19 blobs.

Move Doubler
Your click counts as two clicks, and any blobs hit by the explosion will also increase size twice! You receive this for creating a chain of 40+ blobs.

Score Doubler
Doubles the points of every snot blob in a chain You receive this for creating a chain of 20-29 blobs.

Teleporter
Select two tiles that allows snot splatter to travel between; requires two turns. You receive this for creating a chain of 30-39 blobs.

Scoring

Each snot blob is worth a point. When you burst a chain of snot blobs, each blob will increase one point, and you will collect the points for each snot blob. For example: if you burst a chain of 10 snot blobs, your score will be calculated as: 1 + 2 + 3 + 4 + 5 + 6 + 7 + 8 + 9 + 10 = 55 points. So, the less chains you use to finish a level, the more points you will earn!

Strategy

Click as many blobs as you can to the biggest size they can get (preferably in groups), then start your combo. Remember to save one move to actually start your combo. This will result in a large chain reaction of explosions! If your combination is large enough, your meter will refill back up to the 25 max limit. If there are any snot blobs left over, evaluate and repeat the same method.

As you progress through the levels, you can use diagonal barriers to help you create strategies and clear the board faster. When snot splatter hits this barrier, it will bounce off at a 90 degree angle which will help you burst more snot blobs and save your turns.

Save me!

When you are aiming for the High Score Table, the score doubler bonus will help you significantly increase your points. If you only have a few moves and your combo is not big, then it is best not to waste it on a small point value. Try to setup a large combo that will clear the entire board, then use your score doubler bonus on your last move starting the combo. The move doubler bonus will also help you clear the board easier, since each snot splatter will be worth double.

Quick Tips

  • Don't rush and randomly enlarge snot blobs, carefully evaluate the blob placements so you can create large combos.
  • Use a score doubler bonus with your last move to complete a large combo. Every snot blob in the combo will be doubled the points and boost your score.
  • Save your move doubler bonuses for higher levels (7 and up) that have a lot of extra small snot blobs. Every snot splatter will count as two and help you create large combos.
  • When you place both Teleporter bonuses next to a blob that is ready to explode on different paths, it will create a better combo.
  • Creating new snot blobs can sometimes help complete large combos or increase your score.
  • Don't create snot blobs in tiles that have a diagonal barrier. You won't be able to clear it unless you use a bonus, which would be a waste.

Note: The snot blobs are randomly positioned in every game. The level examples shown in this table will not have the exact same snot blob placements as your game, but it will be similar.
