Split Trade

[splɪt tɹɛɪd] - noun

A set of two or more Trading Post lots, only one of which contains a valuable item, where the bidder is asked to offer a sum of Neopoints on each lot that will add up to the price of that item when combined. This is against the rules (because of the ease of split trade scams); buyers of items priced at over 2,000,000 NP are advised to use the Auction House.

Example Usage:

"And then he spun me a line about how his computer wouldn't let him access the auctions and could I buy the paintbrush via a split trade instead. Wonder how many people he's scammed that way?"
