Free the Faeries Event Guide

2023

To celebrate the Faerie Festival in 2023, a Free the Faeries stall was set up by Aethia, which houses the Festival's NC Mall component. Special slingshot packs allow you to free the faeries trapped inside of jars, and for doing so you'll receive a prize.

You can participate in this on your side account(s).

Obtaining Slingshots

Slingshots went on sale at the NC Mall starting October 2nd. You do not need to buy separate slingshot pack. Instead, you can buy slingshot packs individually or in bulk to redeem for only the items you want.

Slingshots can be activated from your inventory by clicking on the slingshot pack and activating it via the item action dropdown. If purchasing through the event hub, they can be activated the in the same menu immediately after purchase.

The final deadline to purchase Slingshots is November 11, 2023.

Free Slingshot

Midway through the day on Friday, October 13, TNT added one free Free the Faeries Flinging Slingshot 1-Pack to the NC Mall. They announced this in the New Features, on social media, and in a mass email. The freebie was available to all accounts (including side accounts) through the end of the day on Saturday, October 14.

Did someone say FREE? If you have been playing Free the Faeries, then you've probably collected all your prizes and maybe even earned a nice bonus prize too! In case you wanted to grab 1 more of your favourite prize, or to try the game out for the first time, now you can! The devious Balthazar is up to one of his old tricks: entrapping innocent Faeries in glass bottles! While the other Faeries are busy working to save the Neopia from pollution, they've asked the Neopian community to help out. The "Free The Faeries" mini-event lets you free trapped Faeries by smashing their glass prisons with a Flinging Slingshot. Be sure to grab a couple slingshots for free at the NC Mall to get started!

Prizes

After activating your slingshots, head to the Free the Faeries page and click on the jar you wish to open. You will then receive your item immediately added to your inventory.

You can claim any day's item again, up to an unlimited number of times, provided you have enough slingshots available.

Although slingshot packs will leave the Mall on November 11th, you can continue to redeem already-purchased slingshots until the start of the next Faerie Festival event.
