Main Story Tasks
The story of Faerie's Hope is advanced by exchanging Wocky Jelly, which is earned by winning main quest levels. You can progress through the story at your own pace separate from your level progression, redeeming Wocky Jelly whenever you wish—you don't even have to redeem them at all, though you would miss out on some rewards.
Light spoilers ahead! If you want to play it safe, avoid reading the "Description" column.
A Faerie Awakens
Each sequence of the Faerie's Hope story is broken up into several Days.
I may not have my memories, but I can still make a difference! Queen Fyora told me to rest, but I want to start rebuilding as best I can. I know if I put my heart and soul into it, I can make this island into something really special!
Day 1
Listen to Fyora

The player faerie discovers Faerieland is gone, and Fyora catches her up on what happened in The Faeries' Ruin. She still remembers none of them, so Fyora tries a Memory Spell on her. The spell doesn't help. The player faerie decides to stay and rebuild the land that survived, rather than move to the Faerieland on the ground.
Get Varia Clothes

Varia is covered in dust from falling into the house, but the player faerie can't bring herself to go inside to find clothes. Varia reveals she landed on a Team Faerieland jersey, and the game demonstrates how to use the closet to change Varia's clothes.
Build City Entrance

The player faerie decides to create a New Faerieland here in the sky. She begins by making an entrance to the city. You can select one of three options:

The pair appreciate the improved grounds of the cloud island. Varia asks the player faerie if she's ready for a break, but she realises her house is a mess and wants to start working on it right away.

The player faerie notes that her house doesn't have to be old Faerieland's pink and purple anymore, so she can repaint it. You can select one of three options:

The player faerie continues repainting with the trim. You can select one of three options:
Replace the Front Door

Next up is replacing the broken front door. You can select one of three options:
Replace the Roofing

The roof is full of holes after Varia's crashing into it and you need to replace it. You can select one of three options:

The player faerie remarks wistfully about the absent Faerie City castle as she moves on to replacing the windows. You can select one of three options:
Make a Path

Time to make a second path, between the player faerie's home and the city square.
Check Mailbox

The player faerie checks her mailbox in hopes of finding clues to unlocking her memories. She finds a recent coupon and ad. The mailbox then warns that some of your mail has a strange magical aura. A blank envelope appears, unlocking the dream world (side quests).
Replace Mailbox

The player faerie updates her mailbox, hoping that it doesn't break the connection to the magical faerie postal service.
Replace Plants

The player faerie waters the tree as part of her promise not to get trapped in a crystal and let it die again.

Add Name Plaque

The faerie decides to add a name plaque to her house so that she won't forget her name again. You can select one of three options:
Talk to Fyora

Fyora arrives as the player faerie is adding the plaque and gently scolds her for not resting. Fyora is glad to see the faerie is doing well physically, even if her memories have not returned. Varia reveals that the faerie has been unable bring herself to search for clues inside.

Clean the Room

The player faerie begins the process of cleaning her house. She sends Varia outside to wait because the house isn't in good shape for company.

While cleaning out the fireplace, the player faerie finds a half-burnt photo of herself with the date 7/29/Y12 on the back.
Replace the Floors

The player faerie lays down some new hardwood.
Search Backpack
Cost: 1
The player faerie looks for clues. In a backpack, she finds a rather old pie made for the Y12 Faerie Festival.
Cast Vanishing Spell
Cost: 2
The player faerie casts a vanishing spell on the entire backpack to get rid of the smell of old food.
Search the Bookshelf for Clues
Cost: 1
The player faerie looks to find clues among her books. She discovers the Faerieland Employment Agency's employee handbook and wonders if she worked there.
Replace the Bookshelf
Cost: 2
The player faerie decides to ask Fyora about the FEA, and in the meantime replaces the bookshelf with a new one.
Examine Photo Wall

The player faerie finds a photo of an Aisha on the wall, along with a letter. The letter is from Tia, thanking the faerie for helping her get her dream job.
Hang a Painting

The player faerie adds some art to the walls in addition to the photos.
Add Lighting

The player faerie adds some lights to the living room so she feels safer (because it isn't dark). Fyora arrives.
Greet Fyora

Fyora confirms that the player faerie worked at the Employment Agency, and that she took her work very seriously. Several former clients are relieved that the faerie is alive. Fyora promises to send someone to inquire about the Tia from the letter.
Replace Couch

The player faerie replaces her old, torn couch with a new one.
Replace Rug
Cost: 2
The player faerie replaces the torn rug with a new one and jokes about talking to her house.
Get Coffee Table

The player faerie adds a table and chair where she can relax with a cup of hot borovan. She hears a sound outside.
Check Mailbox

Fyora has sent the player faerie a letter promising a friend that can help her travel. He will take her to Tia.
Name Walein

The friend from Fyora is a giant Walein, enlarged in a Petpet Lab Ray accident. You can choose a name for the Walein.

The player faerie chooses a colour for her new companion. You can select one of three options:
Build Dock

The player faerie adds a dock to the island to make travelling by Walein easier.
Build Horn

The player faerie decides to place a horn that can call the Walein using its loud whale sound. You can select one of three options:
Ride with Walein to Faerieland

The Walein takes the player faerie down to Faerieland to meet Tia.
Search Faerieland

The player faerie sees that Faerieland, while very different from what she remembers, is still beautiful. An unknown Aisha appears to greet her.
Talk to Stranger

The player faerie realises the stranger is Tia. She invites Tia to come to New Faerieland, and Tia accepts-she's always wanted to own her own thrift store. The faerie realises there's nowhere for Tia to live yet, so she promises to send the Walein to get Tia when the island is ready to host her.
Ask Tia about Past

The player faerie asks if Tia remembers anything about her past. Tia only remembers the last conversation they had, not long before Faerieland fell. The faerie had been stressed about something to do with one of her closest friends.
Learn More from Tia

Tia doesn't remember the friend's name, only that the player faerie was stressed about talking with them about something important. The faerie heads back to New Faerieland to build Tia a house.

The player faerie finishes up the paths around the town square, including one to the new Neolodge.

Choose the Roofing

The player faerie completes the roof for the Neolodge. Despite the task name, you don't choose the colour for this one either.

Day 1
Give Tia the Gift

Tia arrives in New Faerieland, and the player faerie gives her the welcome gift. From this task onward, you can choose Tia as your Neopet companion during levels.
Talk to Tia

The player faerie offers Tia some of her old clothes to sell at the store. Tia doesn't really need them, but accepts them anyway.
Search Bedroom for Clues
Cost: 3
The player faerie heads to her bedroom to look for the clothes, and discovers it's rather messy. While she's there, she searches for clues and finds a metal key.
Paint the Walls
Cost: 1
Since Tia is busy unpacking anyway, the player faerie begins cleaning up. First, she gives the walls a fresh coat of paint.
Replace the Floor
Cost: 2

Next, the player faerie replaces the old floor that had been chewed up by petpetpets.
Add a Rug
Cost: 2
The player faerie wonders if an old rug was eaten as well. She adds a new one.
Replace the Bed

Just in case the bed's also infested with petpetpets, the player faerie gets a brand-new one. When removing the old bed, she discovers her diary behind a pillow-and the key fits!
Unlock Diary

The player faerie unlocks the diary, only to discover it, too, has been eaten. One scrap is still mostly readable: "X and I went to Faerie Cloud Races today...getting out was good for her. ...been stressful ever since she got a letter...I liked the cars, but she said they reminded her too much of...terror." The player faerie resolves to start asking everyone whose name starts with X if they know her.
Change the Curtains

In the meantime, the player faerie replaces the old, torn curtains.
Hang Corkboard

The player faerie wishes she'd had a corkboard to display memories on. She puts one up for the future.
Replace Lighting

The player faerie notices the room is darker now that the curtains work. She again claims not to be afraid of the dark, but decides to add some new lights anyway.
Add a Vanity

The player faerie wants to see herself, even if it seems vain. She adds a mirror and vanity.
Hang Tapestry

The player faerie adds a tapestry behind her bed to tie the room together.
Go to Wardrobe

The player faerie finally returns to her original task-collecting some old clothes for Tia's shop. While she's there, she replaces her old wardrobe with a new one.
Take Old Clothes to Tia

The player faerie apologises to Tia for taking so long, but Tia assures her that getting sidetracked had always been part of the faerie's nature. Tia takes the clothes to her room at the Neolodge to await her new shop.

Find a Spot for the Thrift Store

The player faerie realises there isn't much room left on the island for Tia's thrift shop. She hears a sound behind her house and discovers an ancient bowl of some kind with words on it that suggest it can make new land in the sky.
Greet Tia

Tia wakes up and discovers the player faerie hasn't been able to build yet. The faerie shows Tia the bowl, and Tia wonders if the spell requires multiple people to work.
Try the Spell

Tia and the player faerie cast the spell together, and it works! A new island appears in the sky next to the original one. Tia and the faerie are exhausted.
Build a Bridge

The new island needs a bridge to access it, so the player faerie conjures one.

Clear the Feathers

There are a bunch of feathers on the ground of the new island, so the player faerie sweeps them up. She remarks that she hopes they came from Weewoos and that they come back-she has missed watching them fly.

Search Kitchen

The player faerie wakes up early to clean the kitchen, debates tossing everything in the Rubbish Dump, then decides to clean it all and donate it to the Money Tree before getting new supplies.
Replace the Floors

The player faerie rips out the old floor and lays a new one.
Replace the Wallpaper

The wallpaper is too mouldy to paint over, so the player faerie replaces it, too.
Change Curtains

The old, mouldy curtains also need to be replaced. The player faerie jokes about her fear of the dark.
Check the Lights

The player faerie replaces the lightbulbs so she won't need to worry about the dark.
Clean the Counters and Cabinets

The player faerie cleans up the old cabinets and replaces them.
Clean the Sink

The player faerie cleans all the mouldy dishes out of the sink.
Clean the Oven/Stove

The player faerie cleans the mould out of the old oven and gets a new one.

The player faerie cleans the old fridge and buys a new one, but is worried no one will want the old one even though it's been cleaned. It's also a shame that all the photos and papers decorating the fridge were destroyed by the mould.
Investigate the Picture

One picture survived the mould, and the player faerie is in it! None of the rest of the picture is visible, but it does have a date on it: Y12-the same year as the photo from the fire.
Clean the Dining Table

The player faerie replaces the old table with a nice, clean new one.
Get Pots and Pans

The player faerie gets a couple new pots and pans for Jorett, then realizes he'll probably have his own. She decides to keep them once he has his own kitchen.
Restock the Fridge

The kitchen cleaning is done, so the player faerie stocks up the fridge with fresh food. Someone knocks on the door.
Answer the Door

It's Jorett! He's settling in next door, and decides to start cooking right away when he sees the fixed-up kitchen.

Varia smells Jorett's cooking and stops by. She and the player faerie try the breakfast. The player faerie realizes she needs to build Varia a house, too.
