TIME4SOC14L1SING to redeem the avatar. It's unknown how long the code will be redeemable for, so redeem it sooner than later!To recap the steps to discover the code:
- A cipher was released teasing the hunt was on for a new avatar.
- An announcement post for the avatar hunt contained a Neoboard meme. Following the date of the Neoboard post to the news archives on Neopets showed an entry for a YellowKorbat Morphing Potion had been added after the fact. The 'o' had been changed to a
0. - In one of the polls for the avatar, Birdie Featherheart had a different combination of freckles on her face. These represented the braille letter
L. - The voting image for the avatar visuals contained the hidden @itsbirdieheart tag on a device. Following this to the corresponding Twitter (X) account run by TNT in character as Birdie Featherheart.
- Birdie first directed users to Dr. Sloth, hinting towards JN's own Image Emporium where a new image had mysteriously been added. There were
14neggs in the image. Additionally, multiplying them by the cost of Happiness Neggs (4) would make 56. Following this clue to social media posts on the 5th of the 6th month would lead to posts about National Cheese Day, which had been edited to imply that some numbers may not represent numbers. This gave the clue that the final code would use leetspeak. - Additionally, Birdie's answers often included the word
SING, including implying that it would be at the end of the code. - A social media post advertising new NC UC styles was released featuring plushies added into the background. They were all released on 1/11/2011 (1111). Combined with a hint in the post to 'caption this', the hunt led to an old caption competiton where an entry for maxtorra had been added to give the clue
1. - A social media post discussing Maeva's trip around Neovia traced out the number
4. - Social media posts advertising The Battledome TCG AMA contained a clockface that represented the semaphore for the letter
C. - Birdie shared an image of various pins from WYP Jewellery. All began with the letter
S. - Social media posts reposted a video from Youtuber theamandafiles who has presented one of the AMAs, during which images of Max presenting the ASL signs for the letters T, I, M, and E were displayed, giving
TIME.
The Puzzle Hunters took a brief hiatus over the past month due to some technical difficulties, but now they're back and have confirmed that the avatar designed by social media polls is now live and ready for redemption!
There have been multiple clues posted to Neopets' social media pages during March and April. The end result of putting the clues together will be a code that is redeemable at the Grundo Warehouse for the avatar above.
Unlocking the avatar is not tied at all to posting on or using social media—once the code is known, we'll post it here.
